The Victor Electronic Rat Trap activates when the rat completes the circuit by touching the metal plates inside the plastic housing and features a patent pending design that prevents escapes. The Electronic Rat Trap will exterminate about 12 rats using one set of four C batteries, and a red indicator light flashes when the batteries are low and need to be replaced.
Directions for Use:
1. Using a plastic or wooden knife, insert a small amount of peanut butter through a bottom hole on the back plate. Allow a small portion of the peanut butter to extend through the hole - rats are very cautious, and this provides an opportunity for the rat to sample the peanut butter without entering the trap.
2. Insert 4 "C" batteries into battery compartment.
3. Identify location with rat activity - look for worn trails or walkways. Place trap on floor against wall, the entrance in-line with the trail; rats prefer to travel against a wall. 4. Turn switch to On position (-). Unit will hum, and the green light will flash once, indicating that unit has been enabled. To prevent incidental shock avoid contact with metal plates.
